Honor a Loved One

Your donation can have personal impact too, when you make a gift in honor or in memory of a friend or loved one. We will send them a card letting them know of the honor.

Stock Donations

We have a brokerage account with Fidelity. Please speak to your broker about transferring stock to the HOPE NC Fidelity account. For assistance, call us at 919-883-9290. Please notify us about your gift so we can thank you for your generosity.

IRA or QCDs

Qualified Charitable Distributions (QCDs), also known as IRA Charitable Rollovers, are the savviest way for individuals age 70 ½ or older to use their IRAs to maximize their charitable impact. When you take distributions from your IRA, it usually counts as income for tax purposes. QCDs are an exception. If you are 70 ½ or older, you can distribute up to $100,000 a year from your IRA to your favorite 501(c)(3) organizations without counting the distribution as income. It is recommended you consult with your tax advisor when donating a QCD.

Donor Advised Funds

Give through your donor advised fund to make a difference in the lives of neighbors of all ages and abilities in North Carolina. A donor advised fund, which is like a charitable savings account, gives you the flexibility to recommend how much and how often money is granted to HOPE North Carolina and other qualified charities.

You can recommend a grant or recurring grants to support inclusive housing initiatives to make an immediate impact. Or use your fund as a tool for future charitable gifts. If you include HOPE North Carolina in your plans, please use our legal name and federal tax ID.
