There have been massive budget cuts at the state level to Medicaid as well as the passage of federal cuts to the budgets of both Medicaid and the Department of Housing and Urban Development. They are now utilizing this funding to support adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities to live in the community

The NC DHHS has been working to support more adults with I/DD to live in the community of their choice through Inclusion Connects and work groups affiliated with the NC Strategic Housing Plan.

Participants will learn about these initiatives and what the plans are to further increase options for I/DD inclusive housing.
